These Ticonderoga Laddie Tri-Write Pencils are my favorite pencils for woodworking. They have thicker graphite than regular pencils, are triangular so they don’t roll, and they make a variety without an eraser so you can sharpen both ends. Unlike the flat carpenter pencils, these can be sharpened to a fine point for more precise work, or left blunt for rough work.
