In reply to MariaDB breaks every time I upgrade it via Homebrew and this will save me time one day by Jeremy Felt.

Oh gosh, this has happened to me, too. I don’t remember exactly what I did, but I remember that I had to nuke, reinstall, and restart services. Thanks for posting. Bookmarking this for future me.
