One fun, silly thing Amanda and I do sometimes is text the other around lunch time pretending to be a waiter/waitress at a restaurant, and explain today’s lunch entrees with what sides are available for them, and what timeslots we have reservations available today. If they ask for customizations or substitutions, we relay that message to the chef and note that they’ll do their best to accommodate. Then we prepare the lunch and deliver it very seriously.
Today’s specials:
Hot ham and cheese sandwiches with your choice of tomato soup, simple greens salad, or potato chips as a side. The dining room opens at 1:15pm. The chef has a call and will not be in until 1.
