Testing out the new Readwise Reader. I already use the Readwise app for my book reading, so trying it out for other sources (feeds, PDFs, YouTube video transcriptions, Twitter threads, ebooks, newsletters) felt like a no-brainer.
For now I have my blogroll feeds in here. I might forward some newsletters into here, too. I’ll try an ePub and PDF soon, too.
So far I like the interface, keyboard shortcuts, and I like that an index is automatically created from headers.
I love the daily digest UX in the iOS app. Makes review and triage quick.
I like the ability to automatically save linked posts to the reader.
I like the metadata, GPT summaries, and ability to subscribe to additional feeds related to the article right from the reader.
They have an API, so if this sticks around in my workflow I might build something for posting Likes here from the Reader.
It does not handle titleless posts well. I’ll send them some feedback about it.
