This morning I did a short photoshoot with my friends Gennady and Wendy. They are getting married shortly after they graduate from Hillsdale in a few weeks and wanted some semi-casual photos taken before the wedding. Luckily, it turned out to be a beautiful day, despite the threats of rain early in the morning. It was a little windy, but I think the photos came out well despite this. Above are my favorite shots.
They have been wonderful to spend time with during my first two semesters at Hillsdale, and I am going to miss them. I wish you the best, Gennady and Wendy!
I am still developing my portrait skills, so let me know what you think and where I can improve. Click on the photos to view them at a larger size.

This is AMAZING! I am Wendy’s mom and I have never seen her look so happy and so lovely! Thank you for capturing her essence, and Gennady’s!!! I wish you were our wedding photographer! You have made me so happy! I wanted some pictures to scatter on the table and this more than fulfills my expectations.
these are wonderful! you can really tell that they are in love.
I have to echo the previous sentiments. They capture a lot. Very nicely done. 🙂
Very nice! Your portrait skills have improved ten fold! The shots look very natural. Wendy photographs well.
You have a great eye! The photos are beautiful. I would recommend a “Fill Flash” even in full sun for portraiture. I spent 10 years in a portrait studio before I returned to teaching Montessori where I met Wendy and they Gennady. I taught David, Wendy’s younger brother for several years. you are welcome to contact me if you have questions, not that I know everything, but I have shot lots! Suzanne Couch
You both look so great together. LOVE the dress Wendy. You look beautiful in it.
Well done! You’ve captured the love that they share.
